Clinton Nkolokosa Graduates with a Distinction

Clinton Nkolokosa has successfully finished his MSc in Geographical Information Systems at Sheffield Hallam University with a distinction. Clinton is on the Wellcome International Master’s Fellowship scheme, which gave him an opportunity to study in the UK and gain a mastery of applied geospatial technical skills.

During his course, Clinton developed a novel computational model for analyzing multi-decadal environmental change across southern Malawi using artificial neural networks and was awarded a distinction for his dissertation. He now progresses to apply his technical skills in his 18-months research project titled “Measuring the impacts of past, present, and future environmental changes on schistosomiasis transmission in southern Malawi: SCHISTO-ENV.”

Building upon his dissertation, he is looking forward to revealing the intestinal and urogenital schistosomiasis risk in a changing climate, under the excellent supervision of Dr James Chirombo, Prof Russell Stothard, Dr Michelle Stanton, Dr Julie-Anne Tangena and Dr Chris Jones and in close collaboration with the HUGS and Shire-Vec projects.

We wish you success on your research project, Clinton Nkolokosa.
